Monsoon & Perfume: Make Your Fragrance Last in Humid Indian Weather

Monsoon humidity changes how fragrances behave — sometimes the scent fades faster or becomes heavier. Use these simple habits to get consistent performance.

  1. Moisturize first. Perfume lasts longer on hydrated skin. Use unscented body lotion or matching-scent body cream.
  2. Apply to pulse points under clothes. Wrists, behind knees and inner elbows hold scent but aren’t washed away quickly.
  3. Avoid rubbing wrists together. Rubbing damages the top notes and shortens longevity.
  4. Store bottles properly. Keep them away from direct sun and heat; a cool, dark cabinet is best.
  5. Choose stronger concentrations. Eau de Parfum or parfum concentrates work better in humidity than EDT.
  6. Use layering — matching body wash, lotion and perfume concentrate for a longer trail.
